About Me: The Man Beyond the Numbers and the Bars

  • Vesikalık

Official Report: “Captured.

My Truth: “I Surrendered.

The difference between the two lies in the echo of a silent gunshot that rang out in Antalya on a September 4th.

My name is Çağatay Evyapan. But you’ve probably heard of me by another name, a whisper, a handle that echoed through the dark corridors of the digital world: ChaO. This website is the official record, the digital archive of the story of the man behind that whisper. This is where you'll find the proof for what is told in my upcoming book, the place where shadows and truths converge.

It all started with an incorrigible curiosity in childhood. Back then, there was no "hacker," no "cybercrime." There was only a wall clock that baffled me with its leftover screws every time I reassembled it , a magical "VU meter" circuit whose lights danced to the rhythm of sound , and a kid who wouldn't give up until he'd turned those circuits into a pile of junk. My mind rejected rote memorization like a foreign object; that’s why scaling the heights of academic life never seemed possible for me. My university was the solder-scented alleys of the Electronics Bazaar in Kadıköy.

Then the machines changed. The Commodore 64K , the Amiga 500 …. While navigating the sharp logic of Assembly, like a detective sifting through others' code , I didn't realize I was discovering my own learning method: I either knew a subject to its deepest core, or I was utterly clueless about it. This passion first led me to "primitive hacks" , then to my "Dialer" that silenced payphones , and from there, into the bottomless pit of BlueBox and international premium-rate phone lines. Technology was never an end for me; it was my "digital crowbar" to test the limits of a system, to assign it a different task.

I entered the business world, founded UBS Software , and dove into the heart of the stock market with TrueStep. A respected businessman on one side, ChaO on the other, navigating digital oceans in the hum of modems at night. This double life continued, somehow, until I met the cold face of betrayal. That infamous trap in Izmir didn't just take my freedom; it took my faith in the word "friendship". Bahattin… his coolness as he ate that dürüm, even today, is fresh in my mind.

What followed was a 23-year "getting-packaged-up" adventure across Turkey:

  • Bayrampaşa Special Type Closed Prison
  • Paşakapısı Closed Prison
  • Buca Closed Prison (Buca Palace)
  • İzmir No. 1 F-Type High-Security Prison
  • Burhaniye Closed Prison
  • Çanakkale E-Type Closed Prison
  • Tekirdağ Closed Prison
  • Çorlu Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Kartal H-Type Closed Prison
  • Kastamonu E-Type Closed Prison
  • Sivas E-Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Sivas Gürün Closed Prison
  • Ankara Ayaş Open Prison
  • Maltepe No. 1 L-Type Closed Prison
  • Tekirdağ No. 1 F-Type High-Security Prison
  • Metris No. 1 T-Type Closed Prison
  • Maltepe No. 2 L-Type Closed Prison
  • Tekirdağ 1 Nolu T Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Tekirdağ Open Prison
  • Ümraniye E-Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Afyonkarahisar 2 Nolu T Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Manisa 1 Nolu T Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi
  • Van 1 Nolu T Tipi Kapalı Cezaevi

Between these walls, I saw how "the law" could be a subject of negotiation and how justice, sometimes, is served with its own "racon" (code) in the most unjust of places. I escaped twice, saw two amnesties and one change in the Penal Code. Finally, on March 3, 2025, I walked out of that iron gate on probation. But "freedom," for now, consists of house arrest at night, a daily signature at the local police station, and unpaid public service.

So why does this site exist?

Because official history is a fairytale written by the victors or those who hold the power. I, on the other hand, am writing my own history with proof. This website is where you will find the documents, the information, and the raw data behind the events you will read about in my book. It is a laboratory where you will see with evidence how ByLock was a pathetic copy of a project I rejected , what a "Cultural Attaché" really means , and most importantly, how a man's greatest tragedy, not his greatest victory, leads him to surrender.

Truth requires proof. The proof is here. The story… is coming soon.

Welcome.
